Local festivals in Vilanova del Camí
The main festival is usually celebrated over several days at the beginning of September. The opening speech begins a programme shared by the Town Council, associations, local clubs and sports groups, with popular culture, music, family events and sporting gatherings spread across Plaça del Mercat, Can Papasseit, Can Titó and other municipal venues.
Sant Hilari and the Camí Ral Fair
In January, the Sant Hilari festivities connect the patron's celebration with the Camí Ral Fair. Carrer Major, Plaça Major, Carrer Onze de Setembre and Plaça del Mercat become a medieval-style market for one day, with traditional crafts, artisans, local traders, workshops and street performances.
Other celebrations and neighbourhood participation
Carnival, Sant Joan and neighbourhood festivals complete the permanent calendar. Residents' and cultural associations, schools, music groups and youth organisations take part in parades, community activities and celebrations that distribute festive life between the centre and the different neighbourhoods.
