Local festivals in Tiana
The Sant Cebrià Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days around 16 September. The opening address and Toc d'Inici begin a programme in which giants, sardanes, correfocs, matinades, music and communal meals fill Plaça de la Vila, Parc de l'Antic Camp de Futbol and the central streets. The Comissió de Festes, Town Council and local organisations arrange an intergenerational celebration that closes the summer.
Sant Antoni and the Festa Major Petita
Around 13 June, the Sant Antoni Festa Major Petita usually lasts three days and coincides with Tast Tiana. The parade and dance of the Eudald and Clariana giants, sardanes, lacemakers' gathering, concerts and food-and-wine fair bring together schools, cultural groups, restaurateurs and DO Alella wineries in Plaça de la Vila and the surrounding streets.
Other events: Aplec de l'Alegria and La Virreina
On Easter Monday, the Aplec de l'Alegria maintains the gathering at the chapel and the singing of goigs dedicated to the Mare de Déu de l'Alegria. On the final weekend in July, the La Virreina main festival honours Sant Jaume and strengthens neighbourhood ties through a programme led by the local residents' association.
