Local festivals in Montornès del Vallès

The summer Festa Major is usually celebrated on the third weekend in September. The folk procession brings together the Giants of Montornès, the Ball de Diables and Drac, La Remençada, the Bou and other figures along a route through the town centre. The opening address, concerts, sardana dancing, food gatherings and club activities fill squares, parks and municipal venues.

Local clubs, giants and shared memory

The Pere Anton and Els Bartomeus clubs organise contests, parades and communal meals that make the festival strongly participatory. The giant gathering and Dansa de la Batalla recall Bartomeu Sala and Pere Anton de Rocacrespa, while associations, folk-culture groups, shops and municipal departments sustain the programme.

Other celebrations: Sant Sadurní

On 29 November, Montornès honours its patron saint, Sant Sadurní, with a winter major festival alongside the September celebration. Giants, devils, Drac Ceballot, the communal Paella Sadurnina, cultural activities, and awards for research and literary work form part of a festival whose traditions have been maintained for decades.
