Local festivals in El Masnou
The Sant Pere Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days around 29 June, the patron saint’s feast day. Streets, squares and Ocata beach host the proclamation, concerts, popular culture, family gatherings and the solemn service at Sant Pere church.
Earth, sea and fire
The Terra, Mar i Foc parades set out from different parts of the town and converge to open the festival. Correfocs, giants, fireworks by the sea, music and street events express the town’s coastal identity and bring together the Colla de Diables, cultural groups, the parish, associations and residents.
Other celebrations and seafaring culture
The Sant Joan celebrations usually provide a prelude to Sant Pere. During the Festa Major, the beach and harbour maintain the connection with the Mediterranean through community gatherings and seafaring traditions, while local organisations contribute crafts, music, sport and shared meals.
