Local festivals in Arenys de Munt
The Sant Martí Festa Major is usually celebrated over three days, from 11 to 13 November. This major early-winter gathering brings together popular events, music and dance with participation from the Town Council, Festival Committee, local organisations and residents. The Dansa d'Arenys de Munt and the exhibition of relleno stuffed apples preserve two of its most distinctive cultural and food traditions.
El Remei
On the weekend after Easter Sunday, the El Remei festival usually lasts several days with religious, literary and musical celebrations. This smaller town festival grew from a civic vow and retains its character as a spring gathering in the centre of the municipality.
Other celebrations: bredes and Sant Joan
During July, the bredes turn neighbourhoods and streets into decorated community festivals, a tradition documented since 1620 and sustained by local participation. Breda de la Plaça, Breda del Sindicat, Breda de l'Eixample and Breda del Pi Gros form part of the cycle. On Sant Joan night, bonfires and the Flama del Canigó are joined by the lace-makers' gathering, linked to the town's established bobbin-lace craft.
