Briviesca's principal festivals honour Nuestra Señora and San Roque, with their central days on 15 and 16 August. The celebration usually lasts about a week and brings cultural, sporting, food and religious events to Plaza Mayor, the bullring, local streets and other municipal venues.

The municipal Patron Saint Festivities page highlights the singing of the Briviesca anthem in Plaza Mayor on San Roque's day. The annual programme includes an opening speech, processions, club parades, music, bull runs, heifers in the bullring and popular events in which the Town Council, peñas, residents, families and visitors participate.

Other events and cultural traditions

The Briviesca festival calendar also includes Carnival, San José, Holy Week, Santa Casilda, San Juan, Santiago and the Garlic Fair, San Mateo and Christmas. Santa Casilda, the town's patron saint, is traditionally celebrated on 9 May, while La Tabera retains its own place in the local festive cycle.
