Local festivals in La Adrada
San Blas and El Salvador are La Adrada's two patronal celebrations. San Blas occupies the first days of February and preserves a tradition of local sweet breads, while the El Salvador festivities combine worship, music, community events and family activities in August at Plaza de la Villa, the parish church, Parque de la Yedra and streets across the municipality.
Usual celebration
San Blas is usually celebrated from 2 to 5 February, with La Candelaria, the patron's day, San Blasito and Santa Águeda. El Salvador's principal day is 6 August and it usually includes an opening speech, a wake-up parade by Agrupación Musical Villa de La Adrada, Mass, a procession, open-air dances and gatherings organised by the Town Council, associations, clubs and residents.
Other cultural events
The Medieval Market around the castle, Circuitos Escénicos, the summer cultural programme and sporting and nature activities extend La Adrada's annual calendar.
