Local festivals in Puerto del Rosario

The patronal festivities of Our Lady of the Rosary fill late September and the first days of October in Fuerteventura's capital. The parish church, fairground and town-centre streets host religious observances, music, popular culture, sport and community gatherings.

Usual celebration

7 October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, with a solemn service and procession. The annual programme runs over several days with a proclamation, concerts, dances, sports and cultural activities, organised by the Town Council and local groups.

Other celebrations in the municipality

Neighbourhoods and villages maintain their own calendar: Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the capital and Puerto de los Molinos, Saint John in El Matorral and Los Pozos, Saint Dominic in Tetir, Saint Anne in Casillas del Ángel and Our Lady of the Pine in Puerto Lajas, among other celebrations.
