Local festivals in Etxebarri
Etxebarriko Jaiak are usually celebrated for about ten days in the second half of July. The descent of local groups and residents from San Esteban church opens the route towards Town Hall square, where the opening rocket, txosnas, music and popular gatherings are combined with sport, games and cultural activities. The Town Council, Festival Committee, associations, local groups and residents prepare the programme.
San Antonio festivities
Around 13 June, the San Antonio neighbourhood holds several days of festivities. Zintururi square, the market area and nearby streets host parades, Basque dance, food competitions, children's activities, sport and music with the involvement of the festival committee, local organisations, families and neighbourhood residents.
Other celebrations: Koadrila Eguna and neighbourhood festivities
Over two days in May, Koadrila Eguna brings the local groups together for shared meals, music and activities. This gathering reinforces the community participation that also sustains carnival and the celebrations in the Kukullaga and San Antonio neighbourhoods.
