Local festivals in Palma

Usual celebration

Sant Sebastià, Palma's patron saint, is celebrated on 20 January, with festivities on the surrounding days as well. The night of the 19th brings the Revetla: neighbourhoods and squares light foguerons for communal torradoras, alongside concerts, giants and xeremiers. The cycle includes the Correfoc and Sant Sebastià Petit in Sa Riera park, so the celebration lasts several days and brings residents, local organisations and cultural groups together across the city.

Local public holidays in 2026

The Balearic Islands labour-calendar resolution designates 20 January, Sant Sebastià, and 24 June, Sant Joan, as Palma's two local public holidays in 2026.

Other cultural events

Palma's cultural calendar also includes the Cavalcada de Reis, Nit de l'Art and programmes of music, dance, theatre and exhibitions. These events are distinct from the two declared local public holidays.
