Usual celebration

Valdés distributes its principal celebrations across Luarca, Cadavedo and other settlements in the council. San Timoteo is celebrated in Luarca on 22 August, with leisure and cultural activities organised by its brotherhood throughout the month. Also in Luarca, the maritime festivities of Nuestra Señora del Rosario culminate on 15 August after events beginning on the 13th.

Other celebrations in the council

The Festival Vaqueiro y de la Vaqueirada brings the community together at Aristébano on the final Sunday of July, organised by the Asociación de Amigos de la Vaqueirada. In Cadavedo, La Regalina takes place on the final Sunday of August at the field and chapel, under the organisation of Sociedad Popular La Regalina. Brotherhoods, associations, festival committees, residents and visitors sustain this calendar across the Valdés area.
