Local festivals in Corvera de Asturias

The Jira at Trasona reservoir is usually celebrated as a one-day gathering on 1 May and brings residents and visitors together in the Trasona reservoir park for brass bands, music and performances. The celebration began in connection with the workers' festival at the former Ensidesa steelworks and retains its popular pilgrimage character in one of the municipality's most recognisable landscapes.

San Juan and the Corvera festivities

San Juan night centres on the area around Trasona reservoir, where the bonfire, music and performances draw participants from across the municipality. In the second week of September, the Corvera festivities occupy the meadow linking Las Vegas and Los Campos, with orchestras, sport, culture, food and community gatherings.

Other celebrations in parishes and villages

Molleda celebrates Candelaria, the Cherry Festival and Cristo; Trasona honours San Pelayo; Solís celebrates Saints Justo and Pastor; and Cancienes, Villa, Los Campos, Campañones and Nubledo maintain their own festivities. This distribution turns the calendar into a journey through the municipality's different villages and neighbourhoods.
