Local festivals in Avilés
Avilés structures its main festival calendar around El Bollo at the end of Holy Week and the patronal San Agustín festivities in the second half of August.
Usual celebration
El Bollo combines the distribution of the local butter cake and wine, float parades, traditional music and the Easter Monday street meal. San Agustín culminates on 28 August and brings concerts, theatre, street music, parades, folklore and a medieval market to the historic centre, with the City Council, associations, hospitality businesses, residents and visitors taking part.
