Local festivals in Umbrete

The San Bartolomé Fair and Patronal Festivities are usually celebrated over five days around 24 August. Marquees and fairground rides occupy the Antonio Herrera Amores fairground, while the eve, mass, procession of the patron and the Virgen del Consuelo, illuminations and fire bulls connect the venue with Plaza de la Constitución and the town centre. The institutional proclamation, created in 2003, serves as the fair's prelude.

The Día del Señor

Umbrete celebrates the Día del Señor, its Corpus Christi, during August under an archbishop's dispensation. Residents and the Sacramental Brotherhood prepare floral carpets for the Blessed Sacrament; mass in Nuestra Señora de Consolación church and the procession through the streets are followed by an open-air dance and the traditional fire bull.

Other celebrations: must and Aljarafe table olive festival

In autumn, the Fiesta del Mosto y la Aceituna Fina del Aljarafe brings food and culture together around the municipality's two most representative products. Tastings, cultural events and participation by producers and local groups express Umbrete's farming identity and its relationship with the Aljarafe landscape.
