Local festivals in Torrox

The Día de las Migas is usually celebrated on the final Sunday before Christmas in the historic centre, with Plaza de la Constitución as one of its main gathering places. The preparation and tasting of migas, accompanied by ensalada arriera and local produce, are combined with verdiales, fandango music, choirs and dancing at several locations around the town.

Other celebrations: Torrox Fair

The main fair occupies several days at the beginning of October. The town centre and fairground host the ceremonial lighting, marquees, rides, music, children's activities and community gatherings connected with the traditions of inland Torrox.

El Morche festivities and Virgen del Carmen

The coastal settlement of El Morche holds its fair in August around the Virgen del Carmen. The procession, participation of the brotherhood and local associations, music and events on the seafront express the municipality's relationship with the sea and its coastal neighbourhoods.
