Local festivals of Estepona

Estepona's Feria y Fiestas Mayores are held over several days in early July. A parade of giants and cabezudos announces the opening, followed by the opening address, the switching-on of the fairground lights and fireworks.

The Fair and Sports Park and the Municipal Booth host the day fair, free concerts, dance academies, orchestras, children's activities and gastronomic events. The Horse Walk hosts horsemen dressed in Andalusian clothing and the Harnessing Competition, while the Bullring maintains the closing bullfighting celebration. The City Council, the Municipal Band, local artists and schools, cassette players, horsemen, the Association of Friends of the Horse, neighbors and visitors participate.

Estepona also celebrates San Isidro and the seafaring feast of the Virgen del Carmen, with a sea-and-land procession on 16 July.
