The Fiestas de las Angustias honour Nuestra Señora de las Angustias, Patroness and Perpetual Mayoress of Ayamonte, with 8 September as the principal religious day.
Usual celebration
The festivities bring together the Town Council, patronal brotherhood, associations, bands, fairground operators, families and visitors at the Angustias parish church, Plaza de la Laguna, Paseo de la Ribera and the fairground. Traditions include the floral offering, procession, street parades, casetas, concerts and firecrackers.
