Local festivals in Pinos Puente
The August fair honouring San Pascual Bailón is usually celebrated over four days in the second half of the month. El Silo fairground, the streets and other municipal venues host marquees, music, parades, equestrian activities, competitions and community gatherings.
Pilgrimage to Cortijo de Alitaje
The pilgrimage to Cortijo de Alitaje forms part of the fair and brings decorated carts, horse riders, groups of friends and families together on a route from the town to the rural estate. The country gathering, decorated-cart and group-shirt competitions, and return through the main streets are usual features of the day.
Other celebrations in the villages
The municipality also maintains festivals in its different villages: San Isidro in Zujaira, San Antonio in Casanueva, Virgen de Fuensanta in Fuensanta and the Trasmulas festivities. The Town Council, local committees, associations, peñas and residents take part in organising these events, alongside Carnival and the May Crosses.
