Feria Grande brings together festivities in the town centre and at the fairground with traditions connected with the patron saint, Virgen de la Caridad.
Usual celebration
Feria Grande is usually celebrated over several days in late August. The daytime fair occupies Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza Joaquín Costa and Carrera de San Agustín, while the fairground hosts the booths, rides and evening concerts. The Town Council, associations, horse riders, performers and residents take part in the opening speech, gatherings, music and religious events.
Other events and cultural dates
The Concurso de Trovos Ciudad de Loja, the town band and the horse-riders' gathering are cultural events associated with the fair. Mirador de Isabel I de Castilla, Jardines del Paseo de Narváez and Iglesia Mayor also provide settings for events.
