Local festivals in Puerto Real

Usual celebration

Puerto Real honours its patron, Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, on 11 February with religious events organised alongside the brotherhood. The other major celebration is the six-day Spring Fair at Las Canteras fairground, with casetas, sevillanas, flamenco, a horse-and-carriage parade, performances and a Children's Day. The City Council, dance schools, associations and caseta operators help organise it.

Programme for 2026

The 2026 Fair ran from 3 to 8 June. It opened with the switch-on of the lights and the crowning of the Fair Queen; the Caseta Municipal hosted dance, concerts and shows, the horse-and-carriage parade took place on the 6th and 7th, and a display by 200 drones closed the programme on Monday the 8th.

Local public holidays in 2026

The calendar published by the Andalusian Government designates 11 February, the patronal feast, and 8 June, Fair Monday, as Puerto Real's two local public holidays in 2026.

Other cultural events

Other events include Carnival: in 2026 it featured the official competition for carnival groups, a funfair and activities at Teatro Principal; in summer, neighbourhood verbenas occupied squares in different parts of the municipality.
