Local festivals in Pulpí
The San Miguel Arcángel fair and festivities are usually celebrated for six days through to 29 September, following an earlier cultural and sports week. The fairground, Caseta Municipal, Caseta San Miguel, the Glorieta and Espacio Escénico host illuminations, parades, a daytime fair, music, games and activities involving associations, clubs, local groups, families and residents.
San Miguel and the fire tradition
On 29 September, the mass and procession of San Miguel Arcángel pass through Pulpí accompanied by the choir and Municipal Band. The fair nights preserve fire bulls for children and adults, alongside strings of firecrackers and fireworks, a pyrotechnic tradition sustained by specialists, the municipal organisers and local participants.
Other celebrations across the municipality
Holy Week brings brotherhoods and residents together around San Miguel Arcángel church and the town-centre streets. In the outlying settlements, La Fuente honours the Virgen de la Fuensanta with religious services and community gatherings in its square, while San Juan de los Terreros, Jaravía, Pozo Higuera and other communities join shared cultural and sports events in the municipal calendar.
